Hunters Pointe Golf Club

If you're looking for links-style golf but don't necessarily have the time or means to travel all the way to the old world, Hunters Pointe Golf Course is your best bet in this hemisphere. Lauded for its authentic Scottish layout, this golf course is characterized by long carries across ravines and ponds, elevation changes, mounding to define and separate holes, innumerable bunkers, and large, firm greens. You will find seven ponds here and almost no trees. Adjacent to the Welland Canal, the golf course offers an easy view of passing sea-faring ships.

Designed by Graham Cooke & Associates, construction on Hunters Pointe began in 1998 and was finished two years later in 2000. It has since been rated as the 9th best golf course in Ontario by the Toronto Star Bogey Man, and was the qualifying site for the 2002 Toronto Star Amateur and Ontario Amateur.

With yardages measuring from 6884 to 5319 yards and five sets of tee boxes, every level of golfer will be challenged and satisfied with Loch Ness Links Golf Course. Yardage blocks are provided on each tee box, and stakes are measured to the middle of the green at 250, 200, 250, and 100 yards. A traditional design, Hunters Pointe Golf Course does not provide pin placement information, choosing rather to allow golfers to discern the depth of the greens for themselves. They are true to their creed - links golf as it was meant to be.

Style and service set Hunters Pointe Golf Course apart from other Niagara Falls Golf Courses. Its superb conditioning and demand for accuracy make it a wonderful test of golf. This golf course is an essential component of any Niagara Falls golf vacation.
